HISTORY
Ziggy, a master tool and die maker with over 40 years experience, has been on the cutting edge of medical device technology improvements; redesigning and modifying tools and fixtures used in the manufacture of pacemaker, artificial kidney, and catheter products.
Working at Small Parts, Inc., for many years, as the President of Manufacturing he was in charge of the second operations shop which was responsible for all tubing/wire modification requests and custom component fabrication. During his time at Small Parts, Ziggy redesigned the cutting equipment and set up the procedures for cutting, deburring, and cleaning cut hypodermic tubing and stainless steel wires. These tools and procedures remained in use until Small Parts ceased their Precision Cutting Service in early 2009.
When Small Parts, Inc. was acquired, by Amazon.com, Ziggy decided to breakout on his own and established Ziggy's Tubes and Wires in June 2005. Ziggy's desire is to provide the best quality and quickest turn around on your tubing, wire, and component fabrication requirements.
PRESENT & FUTURE
ZTW excels at manufacturing custom components using small diameter hypodermic tubing and wire. Custom cut-to-length requests for tubing and wire are provided with standard tolerance of +/- 0.005", for certain lengths.
Deburring and ultrasonic cleaning are included in each quote.
Currently, Ziggy's Tubes and Wires is working on redesigning and modifying tools used in dermatology research and neuroscience laboratories.
